Oh man, oh man! I can’t believe it’s that time of week again already AND we’re halfway through the Spring 2019 One Room Challenge! We don’t have nearly enough done to have so little time left, but I’m hoping if things start moving a little quicker we’ll be able to finish on time. I don’t know though! We’re going to be cutting it really close!
So what, might you ask, have we actually gotten done this week? Well, my husband took up the tile that needed to be removed last week and has realized it’s going to be next to impossible to get the grout off the floor so we can retile without destroying the subfloor. That sitch has yet to be figured out, so I’ll keep ya posted.
Aside from that, my husband has the moisture barrier down on the garage floor and he’s framing out the subfloor for the laundry room extension/hallway/storage closet today. He also made a cover for the crawl space that’s flush with the garage floor the other day. I’m hoping within the next few days he also has the walls framed and drywall up so I can mud. We also have doors and lights to install, lots of painting to do, and then I have to install the Bilden mural from Murals Wallpaper. Oh and then there’s installing the sink and tiling. Okay, stressing myself out as I type! I’m just hoping this doesn’t turn into one of those work all night every night until the last minute projects like last fall, but it’s seeming that way!
I also updated my mood board this week and purchased everything I need to style the room when we’re all finished. The changes are very minor, like adding a rattan drying rack in place of the bench I’d planned to use and some different storage baskets and décor. What can I say? I change my mind easily!
It also seems like we’re not going to have our Macy sconce from Mitzi in time for the reveal because it’s backordered. I’m bummed, but it’s so perfect I decided no sconce for the reveal as opposed to a different one is fine with me! I’ll just wait for the one I really want. Okay, thanks for reading!
