Heyyy! Welcome to the Something Different Late Fall Home Tour. I’m super excited to share some of my fall looks with y’all, so let’s jump in! When it comes to fall decor, I haven’t really gone over-the-top in the past. Actually, I think I’ve put more effort into decorating our home for fall this year than ever before!
For me, fall is a time of transition. It’s a time to cozify our home and prepare for the long winter ahead. I usually focus on making the areas of the home where we gather feel festive, warm, and welcoming. For instance, I love to add pumpkins and warm-toned dried florals to our kitchen and dining space.
I also find myself starting to layer on the texture with extra cozy pillows and blankets in the bedrooms. If you’re a rug hoarder like me, it’s also nice to whip out any thicker rugs that’ve been stowed away, saving the thinner pile ones for the warmer months.
As most of you know, we’ve been remodeling our home for about four and a half years now. We’ve only been here for three. So up until this point, most of my energy and funds have been spent remodeling with little very little left to use to actually decorate for each changing season or the holidays. We’re in the process of wrapping up the exterior of our home, which means we’re super close to being done with it! That being said, I’m hoping to be able to exert more effort into seasonal decorating from here on out. For now though, just being able to add little touches here and there makes a huge difference and helps our home to feel nice and cozy for the cooler weather ahead!
Thank you so much for reading! Make sure to check out all of the other super talented ladies in the tour as well! Cheers!
